Expansion of the management team at Sematell GmbH

Saarbrücken, 05.12.2022. Sematell GmbH is expanding its management team and welcomes Gerd Janiszewski as new Managing Director and CEO and Ross Milton as new CFO. The two will support Sematell on its future growth path.

Gerd Janiszewski (53) took over the position of Managing Director and CEO of Sematell GmbH in Saarbrücken at the beginning of November. Gerd Janiszewski succeeds Thomas Dreikauss, who will devote himself to new projects outside the company and will remain with Sematell as a shareholder. Thomas Dreikauss worked for Sematell for more than ten years, during which time he worked with the management team and staff to develop the company into one of the leading providers of response management software.

Gerd Janiszewski brings more than 20 years of experience as a managing director and senior executive in IT trading and software companies in dynamic and disruptive markets. Most recently, he was CEO of Across Systems GmbH and the Transline Group, both leading companies in the field of language services and software. At both companies, Gerd Janiszewski made a significant contribution to the further development of the product portfolio, the structuring of the organization and the sustainable increase in value. 

As a further pillar of the planned growth, Sematell has further strengthened its Finance and Controlling division and handed over the management of the division to Ross Milton as CFO on November 1, 2022.

Ross Milton has worked in the financial sector for over 18 years. With his diverse and long-standing experience as a managing director and board member in the software environment, he is the ideal person to support Sematell in his role as CFO in the further scaling and optimization of financial and value-added processes. 

Ross Milton was most recently Finance Director for a scale-up company and prior to that spent more than 10 years in senior positions at a global software company in the insurance sector.
